Dr. James Riegel

Dr. James Riegel joined The Morrison Associates in 1997 where he gives comprehensive eye exams. He practices a full scope of optometry managing and co-managing cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other eye conditions. He enjoys fitting contact lenses for all ages, ranging from easy to fit children and adults to more complicated bifocal contacts and contacts for ocular diseases.

Dr. Riegel was born and raised just north of Harrisburg, graduating from Williams Valley High School in 1988. He then attended Lebanon Valley College where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1992 and thereafter Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia where he received his Doctorate of Optometry in 1997. Dr. Riegel did several internships including an internship in our office. While on his rotation here, he became greatly interested in specialized contact lens fitting and has worked here since 1997.

Dr. Riegel, being native to this area, considers this home and enjoys extending eye care to our community. He plans to be here until retirement. He is happily married and has three children who keep him busy when he is not working.
